Is your dog acting up? Behaving in ways you have difficulty handling? Is your cat missing the litter box?

Doggie behavior counseling is available via email or phone from Animal Advocates at no cost. So is kitty counseling.

We suggest two things before calling on us.

#1. Give your dog two long walks every day. That alone may solve the problem and help the dog bond with you as the “pack leader” Well exercised dogs are calmer, happier, more responsive to training and less likely to misbehave..

#2. Go to www.ddfl.org/tips and read up on the problem you have in mind from their hundreds of tip sheets. Almost ALL behavior problems can be corrected Spaying and neutering usually helps..

If you still need us after having tried #1 and #2 then call or email us. Our phone is available between 5 and 7 p.m. every day or leave your name, number and a brief message. It is 315 651-0186. Or email a summary of the problem to us at judy@cayugaanimaladvocates.org.
If we are unable to help we can refer you to an animal behaviorist

Here are some examples of problems we have dealt with in the past:

chewing and destroying things
mounting or jumping behavior
separation anxiety
getting along with another dog or cat
housetraining problems

and more.
